Prince Edward Island is Canada's smallest province, nestled between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick in the Gulf of St Lawrence. It is only about 240 kilometers from tip to tip, 6 to 60 kilometers wide and is home to 140,000 people, mainly Scottish and Irish descendants.
The picturesque Island can be reached by ferry from Nova Scotia, by bridge from New Brunswick, or by air into Charlottetown. The gently rolling terrain provides a mix of trail riding, rural roads and coastal routes with abundant wildflowers, scenic farm communities and picturesque fishing villages.
