Island Walk Itinerary Planning & Luggage Transfer Service for DIY Cyclists: MacQueen’s prepaid nonrefundable fee of $50 CAD + HST per cycling day includes:
-A list of links to recommended accommodation providers along the sections of Island Walk route you intend to explore.
-Once you’ve secured all accommodations, MacQueen’s will then plot each day’s cycling route between accommodations, using the established Island walk + recommended directions for cycling to /from your lodging. You will be able to access via your phone or upload the route directly to your Garmin device. Suggestions for Meals and Activities will be included for each day. A minimum of 2 weeks’ notice is required, but a longer window is preferred if available.
-MacQueen’s is able to quote for and coordinate prepaid luggage transfers on your behalf with local ground transport partners. This service only available in conjunction with itinerary planning assistance. Nonrefundable when cancelled within 2 weeks of trip start. 5% banking and a $75 administrative cancellation fee applies to any luggage transfer refunds issued outside that window.
Arriving on Prince Edward Island: For more information on flights or driving to PEI, view our Travel page.
Medical Considerations: We recommend that participants have some cycling experience and be in reasonably good physical condition for the trip. Medical facilities in PEI are very good.
Deposit & Final Payment: Supported Independent Cycle Tours:
- Tours fewer than 5 nights: 50% deposit on booking.
- Tours of 5+ nights: A deposit of $500 CAD per person is required upon booking. Full payment must be received in our PEI office at least 30 days prior to your arrival.
For groups who prefer to travel together, but negotiate separate payments for their travel packages, individual invoices will be prepared to reflect the higher cost of individual packages, where subsequent modifications/additions/subtractions of any individual travelers’ services will not affect the other separate invoices.
MacQueen’s Island Tours is pleased to quote for multiple travelers sharing an itinerary, where fixed costs are divided equally amongst those travelers. Note that in exchange for the reduction in overall administrative fee group costs, the group must designate a single organizer to be responsible for correspondence and all payments for services. Multiple credit cards are not accepted for this option.
- Personal cheque or money order
- Visa or MasterCard processed in Canadian dollars. One credit card per invoice, where the credit cardholder is also the primary traveler participating in all services.
Cancellation Policy (Supported Independent Cycle Tours):
- $250 CAD forfeiture/person plus banking fees + HST – when written notification of cancellation is received 30 or more days prior to tour start
- 100% forfeiture of tour price + HST – when written notification of cancellation is received fewer than 30 days prior to tour start
- A 5% processing fee applies to credit card refunds
