Cycle Tour Booking information

Tour Costs: Unless otherwise indicated on your quote/invoice, your tour cost covers accommodations, meals and transfers as per itinerary, high quality bicycle rental, outfitting and souvenir water bottle.

Our Published Independent Supported Tours: include all breakfasts (except at Lane’s Cottages). The tour price cost does not include airfare, beverages, medical insurance, items of a personal nature, options purchased locally, gratuities etc.

Medical Considerations: We recommend that participants have some cycling experience and be in reasonably good physical condition for the trip. Medical facilities in PEI are very good.

Deposit & Final Payment: Independent Supported Tours: A deposit of $500 CAD per person is required upon booking for all 5 and 7-night tours. Full payment must be received in our PEI office at least 30 days prior to your arrival.

Group Travel:
MacQueen’s Island Tours is pleased to quote for multiple traveler sharing an itinerary, where fixed costs are divided equally amongst those travelers. Note that the group must designate a single organizer to be responsible for correspondence and payment for services in exchange for the reduction in overall administrative fee group costs.
For groups who prefer to travel together, but pay and negotiate payment for their travel packages separately, individual invoices will be prepared to reflect each separate package, where subsequent modifications/additions/subtractions of any individual travelers’ services will not affect the other separate invoices.

Payment Options:

  1. Personal cheque or money order
  2. Visa or MasterCard processed in Canadian dollars. One credit card per invoice, where the credit cardholder is also the primary traveler participating in all services.

Cancellation Policy:

  • $250 CAD forfeiture/person plus banking fees + HST – when written notification of cancellation is received 30 or more days prior to tour start
  • 100% forfeiture of tour price + HST – when written notification of cancellation is received fewer than 30 days prior to tour start

Banking Fees:

  • A 5% processing fee applies to credit card refunds

Travel/Cancellation Insurance:

MacQueen’s Island Tours does not sell travel cancellation or medical insurance. If interested in acquiring travel insurance, we recommend purchasing it locally in your province/state/country of residence at the time you submit payment for your travel deposit, or alternatively checking into options with these insurance companies with local offices in PEI:

The Fine Print:

MacQueen’s Island Tours acts only as the agent for the suppliers providing the means of transportation and all other related travel services. We assume no responsibility, however caused, for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from the following: acts of God, detention, annoyance, terrorism, thefts, pilferage, civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulations, strikes, delays and expenses arising from quarantine, failure of any means on conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, discrepancies or change in transit or hotel services over which we have no control or other financial loss whether to persons or property arising out of certain risks and danger which may occur during a bicycle trip, including but not limited to the hazards of biking in general. We reserve the right to make changes in the itinerary where deemed advisable for the comfort and well-being of trip members. Tour leaders/organizers have the right to dismiss participants who may be jeopardizing the safety and enjoyment of the tour.
